»7/8/2004 ~ By: David (founder of CancerTips) - If you have ever been diagnosed with cancer, please get a second opinion from another doctor. I have heard many stories from people about having a wrong diagnosis, and beginning treatments. Diagnosis is key.
» 7/28/2004 ~ By: Richard - Cancer is not only a physical health problem, but it's also a mental health problem. For you to beat the cancer, you must have a strong will to live with the cancer. Do all the right things. Eat, sleep, take your meds. But also have fun. A smiling face is a healthy face. Keep the cancer at the back of your mind. Take control of your feelings. I have family members with cancer, and I won't let them give up.
» 8/7/2004 ~ By: Helen - When I had a hodgkins stage 4 lymphoma, the doctors thought that once I would get into remission that it would come back the second year. That's how bad I had it. There were a lot of times that I was so close to death, but my positive mind kept my body strong enough to fight what ever had came my way. Now I'm 6 years in remission and I feel great!!!!
» 9/10/2004 ~ By: Terri - I have NH Lymphoma. Diagnosed last year. I have not yet hit remission. Still on chemo. It has been a long road. Very difficult. But I make sure that my feet hit the floor everyday. I also work everyday. You have to have a good attitude. And think positive. I will not let this cancer beat me, if it does it is not because I didnt fight as hard as could. Also talk to as many people as you can. I believe that you can't have too much information. Good Luck to everyone!!
» 2/5/2005 ~ By: Carol - I just want to say to people...Be Positive...even when you feel you can't
be. I always think of the young people and children that go through cancer
treatments, and I gain strength from them ... if they can do it, so can I. I am a 50
year old woman with Multipe Myeloma....and it will not beat me!
